Simulates EPOS
Interactive Bar Codes simulates a bar code reader and an electronic point of sale system (EPOS).A range of consumer electrical goods are available for purchase.
Clicking on a product icon places the goods on the counter. The items bar code is visible to the pupil, the bar codes uses a real number. The pupil clicks on the Green scanner button.
The bar code on the products carton is read into the system. The product details are shown on the system terminal, the product quantity is entered. Further goods may be purchased by repeating the process. Goods are then added up and payment using a virtual debit card is processed. The virtual debit card has a prefixed limit meaning a realistic sale can be made, spending to much causes the card not to be authorised.
Once the sale has been authorised a till receipt is printed.
The terminal includes a process for the cashier to be logged onto the system after each sale the terminal software is reset to allow further sales transactions to take place.
A virtual terminal handles the transaction, a printed receipt is produced by the virtual printer.
A keyboard and cash draw show how the transaction is completed. The program negates the need to purchase a bar code system. The online user guide includes a description of the bar code system and EPOS.
Includes an online User Guide.
