Junior Visual Control 2 is a simplified version of Visual Control which is suitable for use at Key Stage 2 in Primary schools. Junior Visual Control enables the creation of on-screen models.
Junior Visual Control is used to teach control at Key Stage 2 for ICT and D&T.
Two steps to control
Step 1...
The program includes a variety of virtual screen components like switches, bulbs, buzzers, l.e.ds, motor etc. These are placed onto the design window and can be moved. A picture is added as a background scene this can be changed by the pupil while a program they have written is running, this allows the pupil to build virtual control models on-screen without requiring any external hardware.
Active components are placed over the scene bringing the model to life.

Step 2...
Once the model is designed a program is written to control the model. Commands are typed into a simple program window
Programs can respond to analogue sensors, four inputs and control all outputs. Junior Visual Control includes all the commands you would expect in a powerful modern control language. Decision making using IF...THEN. Loops using REPEAT. Wait periods with the WAIT command. Switching on output lines is easy SWITCH ON 1 or SWITCH ON ALL. Messages are can be incorporated into active models using the WRITE commands.
Commands maybe incorporated into procedures which are easily created in Junior Visual Control.
Programs and Active models maybe saved and print outs made.
